Hello, my name is Kevin. my friends call me “Big Sexy”. I am a stay at home dad that occupies my time in my shop making anything I can think of that would appeal to myself, family, friends, or the occasional buyer.
I try to approach it differently than most normal people would, and create rather than duplicate something that somebody else has made or copied themselves. I like to think of wood as having the potential of being warm, welcoming, and sexy. I feel that the wood wants to be used and shaped into things of beauty. I also use other materials in my projects such as steel and aluminum, electricity, and even things that others believe to be trash or garbage. Some call it garbage and I tend to look at things as a opportunity to reuse it for something better than trash. I recently made a softball pitching machine from little more than a treadmill. Now granted that was more of a DIY project that saved several hundreds of dollars and turned out better than I expected. I have made a few lamps as well with things other than wood. But with this being my first post I wanted to merely introduce myself and give you an idea of what is to come in the days and hopefully years ahead.
I will be making a pitching alley/lane in my basement soon and will post pictures and updates for that as well. I hope to work on that simultaneously with my other projects. The goal is to have that done and usable before the weather gets too cold or snowy for my daughter to practice outside.
If you are interested in seeing any of the things I mentioned in this post or any in the future, send me a message and I will do my best to post it.
So if you read this and there is no other postings yet, stay tuned.
